Academic Session

The Academic Session Starts from 1st of June each year and ceases on 31st May.
Norms for admission and related information’s

• 1. Coollection and submission of duly filled in Admission Forms is to be made in due time
• 2. Amission is made on the basis of entrance exam score, in full compliance with the Calcutta University norms and bar-council of India norms
• 3 Merit list of Selected candidates for admission to 1st year is notified in collage Notice Boards after publication by University.
• 4Migrating student from other Boards are provisionally admitted subject to  required document as notified in the Notice Boards.
• 5.Application for transfer from this collage to other collages  is not usually entertained  in the 1st year and in the middle of the session in other years.

Admission to 1st year of 5 year LL.B course commences after publication of Higher Secondary Examination West Bengal and closes on such date as specified by the Calcutta University each year .
(year to year class admission is compulsory on stipulated dates )

Collages Hours:
“As per Governing Body’s  decision on 21.06.2007.the timing of holding classes of all the year i.e. 2007-08 will be commenced at 7.15 am , of each working day .Collage office will remain open up to .2.15 pm .The  matter may be revised if any situation warrants”

Library Hours                                      : 7.15.to2.15pm
Payment of Fees                                  : 9am. To 12.00 p.m.

Fine for non-payment of collage fees is Rs .10/- for each month after the stipulated date of payment, (within 30th or 31st of each month)
In case of loss or damage of Fees card /I. card /Library card .Duplicate card may be issued on a fine Rs.50/--subject to verification.
Principal of the collage may impose fine or adopt other measures to maintain strict academic discipline of the collage.
All payments are to be made in case in the collage office.

Attendance in Class-lectures  and in field visit or in moot court or educational tour or in other Co-curricular programmer is compulsory .The Principal or concerned Teacher –in –charge may relax from 20 to 25 percent attendance only on convincing grounds ,minimum 75% attendance in class –room –lectures is required to enable students to appear at University Exams ,as collage candidate

All bonafide students of the collage are entitled to avail reading room facilities to study and consult reference books,and Journals .borrowing  facility has been extended to 7 days or, may be extended to 15 days in exceptional cases .library fine is imposed by the librarian in case non-return of books in time or causing any material damage to the books or any property in library or ,for any misconduct in the library room.

Students securing less than 65% attendance in class lectures will not be allowed to appear at the send up examination.

Special classes will be held on stipulated dates after sent up Examination consecrating the student’s needs

The principal will adopt stringent measures in case of detection of indiscipline, immoral, unethical and improper behavior or .activities on the part of any student or student.

Student are encouraged to join extra –curricular  or co-curricular activites conducted of corporation activities of the student by secret ballot each year according to the constitution  of student union ,The principal deputes one of the senior teacher to guide and develop corporation student activities .

Student are entitled to avail Rail (E.Rly and S.E.Rly) Bus (Aeroplane concession ,in matters of home going ) for daily journey to attended classes ,Rly and Bus concesion are issued between 1st to 10th of every month .

For obtaining collage certification ,Rly .concession ,collage leaving certification etc . Identy card and Fees card (upto date payment )
Are required to be produced.

The student may join collage N S S schemes sponsored by the Calcutta University.

The student can enjoy the benefit of student Health Home facilities on payment of Fees.

Final year student will gratefully and thankfully accept and voluntary donation or ,contribution from student ,former and present .well-wishers towards furtherance and achieving more academic excellence and for advancement of this centure –old premier esteemed Low collage
